We are keen to champion smaller producers. Whether sourced locally here in Sussex, from elsewhere in Britain or from further afield, we endeavour to stock products of interest and quality that are not widely available in the supermarkets.
Cheese & Delicatessen
With a stunning variety of Continental and English cheeses, many sourced directly from local dairies we are proud to offer you one of the best cheese counters in Sussex. Our deli provides cold meats, charcuterie and a seasonal range of scotch eggs, pies and quiches with olives and antipasti to accompany. We are delighted to offer advice and samples to help you create the perfect cheeseboard and regularly supply cheese wedding cakes.
Bakery & Food to Take Away
We have daily deliveries of bread and pastries from local bakers as well as baking a range of sweet and savoury pastries in store. Freshly prepared sandwiches are available in the week. We can also put together sandwich platters for large parties and events - please contact us for details.
Grocery & Confectionary
To accompany your cheese and provisions you will find an impressive selection of chutney and pickles alongside other savoury condiments and many culinary store cupboard ingredients. There are jams, jellies and marmalades many from local producers and in particular honey from hives just outside of town. Tea and locally roasted coffee beans can be freshly ground to order. Chocolates are made for us by the famous Audrey’s Chocolates in Hove.
Wines, Spirits & Cigars
Pallant of Arundel was founded as a wine merchant and we remain proud of our varied and interesting range of some 250 wines. Small independent domaines and estates are championed and as you would expect we have a good choice of wines from local vineyards as well as Sussex beers. Single malt whisky, brandy and of course an ever increasing range of gin is also available. Ask to look inside our humidor to see our cigar selection.
Hampers
We have great experience of packing food and wine hampers throughout the year. Of course at Christmas this becomes an important part of our business. Many corporate customers return to us year after year, ordering Christmas hampers to be delivered to clients and staff. Using the FedEx next day delivery service we are able to send hampers anywhere in the UK. Please contact us if you can’t find what you are looking for from the hampers featured on this website or if you have specific requirements. In the summer months we can make up picnic hampers for collection in store.
